Food was good but they just didn't read my notes to make the lamb kebab rare. Still tasted good.

The Manger, Andrea is wonderful. My error in not realizing you needed to order catering 24 to 48 hours in advance. Andrea put the entire meal for 30 to 40 people together in less than 6 hours. The food was delicious, I will definitely use this location for events in the future.

I noticed this place had mixed reviews, but I was 1/2 block away and hungry so I rolled the dice. What a great place! It seemed larger on the inside than outside. It was clean. I have to rave about the service. I read one review complaining that the food took 20 minutes, well, as I ordered the proprietor told me it's was going to take 20 mins...it took maybe 15. He was so polite, and helpful answering a few questions about their menu. I received great service. So, I said as long as their food is good, I would support this restaurant again. I read a review about how amazing the hummus was, so I ordered that and it didn't disappoint! It was creamy, rich and delicious! I'll have that again. I had a large order so I tried a few different things. Their gyro with the typical meat was delicious. The pita was grilled a little too much for my liking, but overall still very tasty. Also, my order included a side salad, and it was fresh. The mixed plate was the winna, winna! Grilled steak meat kabob and then ground lamb meat looked more like a sausage over a huge bed of basmati rice. This would serve 2 people, for sure. I will return. Lastly, for all the "nervous Nancys" still wearing mask, all their sauces are individually sealed and containerized. Their spicy tzatziki sauce is dope.

My first time at Moby Dick's! We stopped by last Friday evening for a quick dinner in Georgetown. This location is on the smaller side with only a few tables, but fortunately, we were able to grab a table (seems like it's more of a take-out place). JOOJEH KABOB - 14.49 This is the chicken kabob and I got it with 1/2 rice and 1/2 salad. Even then, there was too much rice for me to finish. They give you a yogurt-cucumber sauce to enjoy your chicken and rice with. On the side, they give you a few pieces of pita bread, which were super chewy and fresh. This is definitely carb overload. Overall, it was a filling meal. I found the chicken to be a bit dry, but it was well-seasoned enough. The rice was seasoned and can be enjoyed on its own. HUMMUS - 5.49 This was so good, and they give you a whole piece of pita to go along with it. The hummus was so creamy and smooth, definitely one of the best I've had in the area. And again, the pita is worth raving about. So, so soft... yet, so, so chewy. Worth buying some hummus and taking it home to enjoy. Overall, good experience. I'd come back for the hummus and pita bread for sure.

Food- 5/5 Husband got the lamb kabob plate and I got the chicken (jejoosh) plate, both with rice. Both were delicious with great seasoning and spices, flavorful indeed, which was emphasized by the spicy green sauce and cacik (yogurt with cucumber) that came with the plate. Husband also got the Iranian version of Ayran (soda/watered down yogurt) which is something they make in Turkey on hot summer days anyhow. In summary, the food- flavorful and highly recommended. Service- 5/5 It's more of a fast food style place. The service was quick and efficient. Order at the counter, take your number and wait for about 10 minutes. There is space for about 20 people to sit comfortably inside, so it is a bit small but that didn't affect service or ambiance. Ambiance- 5/5 What you see is what you get. They are not trying to be anything more. It's quality Iranian style kabob and they were working hard to provide that service. There's ample space to sit inside and out. Two restrooms and the place was clean even though it's fast food style.

When it comes to Kabab (or Iranian or Arabic) food, then this restaurant will probably be the best in town. The food is 100% authentic. Excellent food and invisibly excellent ingredients. The person that helped us with the order was very helpful and nice. He was so nice, he even rushed and pressed zero when the machine asked for a tip. Nice gesture although I would have loved to put a tip. Indoor and outdoor seating on a nice street.

Love this food. Just ordered for pickup while walking my dog. They could not have been nicer, bringing a bowl of water out to my dog while I finished waiting. Very quick service. And they even brought me extra sauces. Love love love this place.

-Moby's Kubideh Kabob Sandwich Somehow I am only just now managing to write a review of Moby's, even though it's been here for ages. This is really the only place I can think of inside the city that has super casual but also solid kebabs. I particularly like Moby's Kubideh Kabob Sandwich. While the onions are a little overkill sometimes, this makes for a great stop when you're walking around Georgetown and want to grab a bite. Just know that the wait is typically ~20 minutes, so don't come here if you're in a mad rush, but then again, they also prepare dishes fresh, which is super important. Great value for beautiful days in Georgetown!
